Mindfulness Refresher Workshop – The Basics and Beyond

1-Day Workshop –  Coming in 2020, date to be advised

Workshop Description: This workshop is a follow-up workshop for people who have previously attended our Foundation in Mindfulness course and feel they need to review, revitalize, and extend their practice. The workshop is also open to adults who have some previous mindfulness meditation experience and wish to refresh their skills and deepen their practice. This workshop will involve guided mindfulness practice as well as discussion about your practice, in particular we will: 1) Review the foundations of mindfulness and mindfulness meditation practice; 2) Learn how to work with difficulties with mindful acceptance and kindness to self; 3) Explore the relationship between mindfulness and compassion; 4) Examine ways to refine and deepen your mindfulness practice.

Cost: $250 standard registration, $200 for concession card / discount  holders or full-time students. Students, concession and discount card holders who are eligible to receive a discount please contact us before registering to receive your on-line payment discount code.

Cancellation Policy: Refunds less a $60 administration fee are given to cancellations received by telephone or by email at least 5 working days prior to the start of the workshop. No refunds are available after this time. However, it is OK to contact us to defer your attendance to one of our later courses/workshops that occur sometime over the next 6-months. Perth Mindfulness Centre reserves the right to cancel workshops if there is insufficient registrations to run the workshop, or in the unusual event of speakers falling ill or unable to attend due to exceptional unforeseen circumstances. In this special case, registration fees will be refunded in full. You will be notified of any changes in course information or location, or in the advent of cancellation.

Healthy Sleep Groups

Sleep Matters ( is a team of health professionals dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments for poor sleepers. The team is lead by Dr Melissa Ree who has internationally recognised expertise in the field.  Sleep Matters have developed effective group-based programs for poor sleepers which have been  run in hospital and university settings over the last 4 years. They are now launching a low cost healthy sleep program for the general public: 3-4 sessions, once a week, early evening, in Subiaco.
